Mini Challenge

The Mini Challenge is a single make series, with close, competitive and exciting racing guaranteed.

Established in 2002 the Mini Challenge offers fantastic, close, fair one make racing supporting some of the UKs best race meetings.

The MINI CHALLENGE in 2017 will have four classes, the JCW Class, Cooper Am Class, Cooper Pro Class and Open Class, to cater for all levels of experience and budget.

COOPER PRO - The Cooper Pro Class car uses the same engine as the Cooper Am car, but with slick tyres and control single way adjustable dampers. The car is best suited to those new to car racing, those stepping up from the Cooper Am class, those with some karting experience, or those who just want ultra close, fair racing on a high profile stage, but still with budgets under control.

COOPER AM The entry level Cooper Am Class car uses a 135 Bhp 1.6lt normally aspirated engine, treaded tyres and single way adjustable dampers. The car is best suited to those new to motorsport, with some karting experience, or those who just want ultra close, fair racing on a high profile stage, on a tight budget.

OPEN CLASS The Open Class caters for all previous MINI CHALLENGE classes and other R53 & R56 MINIs racing in multi-marque series. The Open Class delivers exhilarating performance with a regulated BHP per ton limit, but keeps running costs low through the use of treaded tyres and a flexible approach to parts use.

JCW The JCW class is the ultimate in MINI racing with up to a 2lt engine, with big 235/17 slick tyres, 3 way adjustable dampers, bespoke sequential gearbox and motorsport ECU to ensure ultimate performance and equality. The JCW class suits drivers who want a Touring Car Experience at a fraction of the budget.
